1. Mmm as for me, just about up to a month ago, I used to farm Dwayna's Grace when it was still worth in the 20k range... so yea farming is alright, assuming you understand the market well and weigh the worth of an item with the time(and difficulty) spend farming that specific item. Dwayna's took me around 5 minutes, depending on the groups of Kournan spawns around her.

2. Buying and selling... i.e.: I bought an Urgoz Longbow for 30k... sold it back out 5 minutes later for 90k.

3. Farm like mad during holidays... easy monies right there. I made 120k off of tokens (orbs?) in the recent... Dragon Festival was it? -- I could've made more but I pushed off farming until the last day of the event haha.

4. Do what the others have been suggesting, ID all white items that are normally worth around 50g, there might be a chance that its value will multiply by 150-200%. The money you make from that justifies the cost of each ID use.

5. If you do Troll farming (outside Droks), although it has been nerfed like mad... the Troll Tusks that it drops makes for good money... 5 troll tusks = 40g, the collector that you can trade these 5 tusks in for offer items that are worth 125g to the merchant. -- This used to be an alright source of money, 2-3 minutes per run, around 600g per run from selling items to the merchant alone (plus the gold you pick up).

6. You can provide services for lazy people ... such as running to Droks (I think people still pay 1-2k for that run)

7. Pray on friends that are quitting GW, ask for their riches

I would say buying and trading would be the toughest to make money off of if you don't have a bank to support it. You also need to be constantly aware of the market fluctuations and such... oh and spend a lot of time camping the sell section (on forum) and camping trade channel in town (good exercise for your eyes I suppose lol)

The way I earn money is by checking carefully the "wts" and "wtb" around the main districts; I always keep all purple, golds I drop since if you are patient you can afford selling and trading poor items for good money or a nicer item; just to make an example, I was able to sell a q13 purple inscribable fellblade for the very nice amount of 25k. And I dropped it just by doing the snowman lair dungeon, nothing hard for real. Keep all upgrades you can; nowadays you can sell any mods for at least 1-2k, which is not bad considering how they drop and all; check out people tastes; if you see something going for a lot, try to focus on dropping that item, i.e repeat over and over duncan/frostmaw in HM to get drops like voltaic spears or silverwing bows, as well as greenies that can be sold for a quite good amount of golds (I mean 5k, but repeating the dungeon over and over can let you have a lot of those items). With a proper hero build you can make frostmaw dungeon in HM within 1 hour and 10 mins. Actually I am farming destroyer cores (not to sell them, gotta get the gloves) but I can get 50 of them in 1 hour or so, which is like 25k at moment. And remember to ALWAYS check the new updates (like doa), as you can find very good deals like when titan gems were 80k each worth.

An easy way is to just play through the game.
ID everything you get (even the white items)
ID'ing things can add a lot of value to it.
merch merch merch.

for other items (golds, etc.) make sure you know
how much they're worth before you sell 'em to people.
get more for your money :]

failing hardmode missions and then retrying them. you pick up a lot of loot that way, although it gets frustrating trying to pass the mission...
